How to Get to Chocolate Ville: 5 Easy Ways to Get There Without Stress

Chocolate Ville is one of Bangkok’s most photogenic dining spots, especially at night when the lights come on and the entire village feels like a European fairytale. Despite its popularity, getting there can feel confusing for first-time visitors because it’s not connected directly to the BTS Skytrain. This mini guide walks you through how to get to Chocolate Ville via taxi, Grab, public transport, airports, and driving so you can choose what fits your travel style best.

If you’re planning a longer stay, make sure to add this to your itinerary. I recommend pairing this guide with my Chocolate Ville Bangkok full guide and my 3-day Bangkok itinerary, where I map out neighborhoods, transport tips, and where activities fit best into your itinerary.

Taxi or Grab from Central Bangkok (Easiest Option)

For most travelers, taking a taxi or Grab is hands-down the simplest way to get to Chocolate Ville. The restaurant is located on Kaset-Nawamin Road KM 11 in the Bueng Kum district, which means no transfers and no guessing where to get off.

From central areas like Sukhumvit, Siam, Silom, or Ari, the journey usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic. During off-peak hours or weekday afternoons, you may arrive closer to the 30-minute mark. Evening rush hour and weekends can push travel time closer to an hour.

Fares typically range from 200–400 THB one-way, which is reasonable given Bangkok distances and convenience. When booking, simply type “Chocolate Ville Bangkok” into Grab or tell the taxi driver the name—it’s a well-known destination. The drop-off point is right at the entrance, making this option especially stress-free if you’re dressed up or visiting at night.

If you’re visiting Bangkok for the first time, this is the same transport method I recommend in my Chocolate Ville Bangkok full guide, especially if you’re short on time.

How To Get To Chocolate Ville Bangkok: Nearest BTS or MRT Station (Then Short Ride)

There is no direct BTS Skytrain stop at Chocolate Ville, which is why many travelers feel confused at first. However, you can combine MRT + short ride if you want to avoid sitting in traffic for too long. This is exactly what we did and it worked out seamlessly.

The closest stations are on newer MRT lines:

  • MRT Yellow Line: Bang Kapi or Lat Phrao 101
  • MRT Pink Line: Nopparat

Pro Tip: MRT takes visa and mastercard credit cards so you don’t have to stand in line to buy a train ticket. Just tap your card and enter. Upon exit, tap your card again on the very far right red EMV machine.

From Bang Kapi or Lat Phrao 101, you’ll need a 10-15 minute Grab, Bolt, or motorbike taxi ride, usually costing 50–200 THB depending on timing and availability. From MRT Nopparat, it’s about 1.7 km, which equals a 22-minute walk—doable in cooler weather, but not ideal in Bangkok heat.

We got out of the station and booked a Bolt ride on the side of the street.

If you’re coming from older BTS lines like Mo Chit or Asok, expect to transfer to MRT first, then finish the trip by car or motorbike. This route works well for budget travelers but isn’t the most time-efficient in the evening. There are also luggage storage lockers you’ll find at Lat Phrao station where you can store your luggage and be hands-free visiting Chocolate Ville.

Getting to Chocolate Ville by Public Bus (Budget-Friendly)

Yes, you can reach Chocolate Ville using Bangkok public buses, though it requires patience and navigation. Several bus routes stop within walking distance of the venue, with the nearest stop about 1 km away (roughly a 15-minute walk).

Common routes include 178, 178 เสริม, 22, 3-38 (13), 36ก, 95, and 96ก, along with others such as 2-46 (Siam Park), 1-76 (168L), and 73ก (AC). Buses generally run from around 5:00 AM until late evening, with some routes operating until 11:40 PM.

For real-time directions, I strongly recommend using the Moovit app, which helps identify the best route from your exact location. While buses are affordable, this option is best if you’re already familiar with Bangkok’s transport system or traveling on a tight budget.

Travel Time from Bangkok Airports

If you’re heading straight to Chocolate Ville from the airport, timing and traffic matter.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), expect a 45–90 minute ride by taxi or Grab. Fares usually fall between 300–500 THB, depending on traffic and time of day. Evening arrivals often take longer due to congestion on major roads.

From Don Mueang Airport (DMK), the trip is shorter—usually 30–60 minutes—with fares around 250–450 THB. The route via Kaset-Nawamin Road is generally straightforward.

While it’s possible to combine Airport Rail Link or MRT with buses, this adds significant time and complexity. If Chocolate Ville is your first stop in Bangkok, a taxi is worth the extra cost.

Driving Yourself & Parking Information

If you’re renting a car or driving yourself, Chocolate Ville is very car-friendly. There are two large free parking areas: one immediately on the left when you enter, and another deeper inside after looping around the complex.

Parking is generally easy on weekdays, but weekends and holidays fill up quickly, especially during Christmas season or special events. Arriving earlier in the evening gives you the best chance at convenient parking.

This makes Chocolate Ville a great stop if you’re already exploring outer Bangkok neighborhoods or following a multi-day itinerary, like the one outlined in my 3-day Bangkok itinerary.

Final Tip Before You Go

Chocolate Ville is best visited before sunset around 4-5pm, when there is still some daylight to get daytime photos. No matter how you get there, plan extra buffer time as Bangkok traffic is unpredictable. Pairing this outing with nearby attractions or scheduling it as an evening highlight will make your trip smoother and more enjoyable.
