The Most Affordable Luxury Villa in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten

When I heard of Sint Maarten and it’s gorgeous turquoise waters, I knew where we were headed for Spring break.  Seeing as we love luxury travel, we decided to book a luxury villa on the Dutch side of the island which is generally known to be more affordable.

We booked our stay with Airbnb at a luxury villa in Little Bay, Philipsburg which was total #instagoals. The villa was less than $250 per night. Two weeks later during Spring break, we were off to Sint Maarten!

Our host, Yeba’s wife was kind enough to pick us up from the car rental place to direct us to the villa as the inside roads can get quite confusing for first-timers.  We were in awe when we arrived.  Instantly we fell in love with the location, the contemporary decor, the pool and best of all, being surrounded by so many foliages. This villa was aesthetically pleasing indeed.

THE ENTRANCE

The luxurious bohemian entrance was beyond beautiful and if you’re a foliage-lover like I am, then you’ll feel like you died and went to foliage-heaven!  There were a total of three floors and we stayed on the very bottom floor.  There was another guest on the very top floor and the hosts lived on the second floor.

PATIO AREA with POOL

We spent each day in the infinity pool overlooking Little Bay and several nights cuddled up in this cute apple-shaped cabana and star gazed for hours.  The views both during night and day were beyond spectacular from this location.

OUR BEDROOM

We had two bedrooms but only used one for our stay.  Each morning we would wake up to 80 degrees and stunning views of Little Bay right outside our bedroom door which made us even more grateful to be alive!

DINING & LOUNGE/LIVING AREA

The decor was very chic, minimalist and had art collections from various countries carefully displayed in different areas of the lounge or living room. There were plenty of magazines, books, and travel guides to help you understand the history of the island as well as helping you get around.  We had access to all the cooking supplies, a fridge, a microwave, and fresh water.

 | THE CAVE BATHROOMS |

We had two bedrooms and of course, it had to come with the most amazing cave-like bathrooms. See for yourself and you’ll wish you were here.

MORNINGS

Mornings started off with a relaxing swim and photography followed by breakfast in town.

EVENINGS

Of course, hubby welcoming the sunset like the Sun god that he is.

NIGHTS

Nights were full of splendor.  Romantic candle-lit dinners and stargazing for dessert were on the menu each night. The lighting in the villa at night added to the ambiance of our surroundings.

Visiting Sint Maarten was the best decision we had made for Spring Break and choosing to stay at this villa was an even better decision.  The villa is perfect for honeymooners, couples, friends, retreats, and even families that want to spend their days in luxury without breaking the bank.
