One of a Kind Jungle Experience at Camp Akumal, Mexico

When we were headed to Mexico, swimming with turtles was an experience we always wanted to cross off our bucket list.  The best place to swim with turtles in Mexico happens to be in Akumal. 

After days of research, I stumbled upon an amazing jungle experience stay in Akumal with the most affordable price which happened to be on booking.com.  This place was only a 5-minute drive from Akumal Bay where our turtle friends were! (jaw drop)

We love our luxury hotels but we like to change things up sometimes and travel off the beaten path. Well, enter CAMP AKUMAL.  Camp Akumal is a condo hotel in a natural setting with modern amenities located just 18 miles away from Tulum.  Camp Akumal is spacious, well-designed, and best of all, in the middle of a lush jungle that houses various endangered mammals such as parrots and monkeys.  The property is very well maintained with two swimming pools, a barbeque and outside lounge area, and best of all, free private parking on site!

We stayed in a king suite overlooking one of the pools.  The room was huge with such a comfy bed, a separate kitchenette, and a living area and we also had access to our private balcony.

Camp Akumal is close to many restaurants and cafes such as the famous La Cueva del Pescador where we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day for three days.  They are also a few minutes away from the beautiful cenote called Yal-ku Lagoon.  If you’ll be heading to Akumal, be sure to have this lush jungle experience on your bucket list along with swimming with the turtles.  You can thank me later! 😉
